Pinterest is set to launch its inaugural streaming series filled with a shoppable and actionable experience.
Deliciously Entertaining, a six-episode cooking series based on Pinterest trends is set to debut on February 23 on Tastemade, Pinterest’s streaming channel.
It’s worth noting that video content has proven to be vital for online purchases, with 93% of consumers reporting it to be helpful while making purchasing decisions.
The concept of showcasing products on streaming networks provides brands with an opportunity to connect with a highly engaged audience. By leveraging the persuasive power of video content, brands can significantly influence the likelihood of conversions.
Incorporating a unique approach, the show will allow viewers to utilize an on-screen QR code that will lead them to a Pinterest board containing shoppable Pins. This will include everything from recipes, DIY tutorials, and inspirational Pins based on the theme of the episode, allowing them to replicate the show at home.
The show will feature host Danni Rose alongside celebrity guests such as Lance Bass, Asia Jackson, and Joy Cho, who is the most followed account on Pinterest with over 15 million followers.
After its run, the series will culminate with a special “shop the show” episode airing on Amazon Live on June 21.
Pinterest’s move to create original content aims to solidify its position as a platform for product discovery, thereby expanding its audience and integrating shoppable Pins for an improved shopping experience.
According to Nadine Zylstra, Pinterest’s Global Head of Programming and Originals, the show is aligned with Pinterest’s mission to inspire and enable action, adding new experiences to the platform.
