Tinubu appoints new AMCON CEO, names three executive directors

President Bola Tinubu has given the green light for a new management team to take over the reins at the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON).
Mr. Gbenga Alade has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of AMCON, taking over from Ahmed Kuru, who assumed the position in August 2015. As announced by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, Tinubu has also appointed three executive directors – Aminu Ismail, Adeshola Lamidi, and Lucky Adaghe. Their appointments are subject to confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. Ngelale emphasized that the President expects the new appointees to demonstrate dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness to ensure that AMCON’s operations become more efficient, transparent, and in line with his determination to clean up the nation’s financial system, maximize value, and boost investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
