A 400-level student of Kwara State University, identified as Rashidat Shittu, reportedly took her own life due to academic stress. According to her colleagues, she ingested insecticide ahead of her upcoming exams. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital. The unnamed medical staff member revealed that Shittu was brought in dead, while a resident confirmed that she had been buried at a Muslim cemetery. It is a tragic loss of life attributed to academic struggles, leading to a heartbreaking outcome.
