Being in opposition does not warrant blind and thoughtless criticism

Politician Peter Obi believes that being in opposition should not lead to blind and thoughtless criticism. He took to his social media account to express his support for the Federal Government’s decision to implement the Oronsaye report, which aims to streamline government agencies.

President Tinubu recently ordered the full implementation of the report, leading to the scrapping, merging, and reorganization of several agencies. Obi, in a statement on his social media, reiterated his commitment to implementing the report if elected in 2023 and suggested that the government should also focus on reducing the cost of governance.

His statement highlights the importance of constructive criticism and collaboration in improving governance. Check out his full statement below.
