Former Super Falcons goalkeeper, Bidemi Aluko-Olaseni, has sadly passed away after an eight-year battle with breast cancer. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the news on Saturday through their official handle, expressing their condolences to her family. Aluko was first diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2017 and received treatment, but unfortunately, the disease returned in January 2019, leading to further chemotherapy sessions.
Her passing is a great loss to the football community, and our thoughts and prayers go out to her loved ones during this difficult time. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
