The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested Ramlat Princess, a well-known TikToker, for allegedly sharing content promoting lesbianism on her TikTok page. The arrest was made on February 15, 2024. This comes after another TikToker, Murja Kuna, was also arrested and detained. The Sharia police confirmed the arrest through a video shared on its official TikTok platform. Ramlat Princess, known for her bold content, had recently posted a video promoting lesbianism, causing outrage on social media, especially in Kano State. In the video, she boldly stated that her future husband must allow her to date other women and declared “I am a full-pledged lesbian. Lesbianism is a beautiful act that I can’t do without.”
