FBI launches urgent manhunt for Iranian secret agent accused of plotting to assassinate Trump-era officials in revenge for killing of commander of Iran’s Quds Force

The FBI is urgently seeking an Iranian secret intelligence official accused of planning to assassinate Trump-era officials. Majid Dastjani Farahani is said to be recruiting allies to carry out these attacks as retaliation for the US killing of Iranian general Qasem Soleimani. Farahani, who moves between Iran and Venezuela, has been linked to potential lethal operations in the United States. The FBI has called for anyone with information to come forward. This development follows Iran’s vow to avenge Soleimani’s death at the hands of a US drone strike in 2020. Farahani has been sanctioned by the Treasury Department for his alleged role in silencing dissent against the Iranian regime. Additionally, the FBI suspects that other Trump administration officials, such as Mike Pompeo and Brian Hook, may also be targeted and are currently under increased security measures as a precaution.
