Enugu police operatives have captured a fake philanthropist, Nnamani Joseph, who attempted to defraud a businessman of eighteen bags of rice worth N400,000 under the guise of charity. The suspect was apprehended on February 20, 2024, in Enene, Enugu, after he had sold some of the rice at a local market. The police recovered eight bags of rice from him and are currently conducting further investigations. Once the investigations are complete, the suspect and his accomplices will face legal action. This incident serves as a reminder to always be vigilant and cautious when dealing with unknown individuals offering charitable donations.
